London Construction Awards 2026 Excellence in Social Value People and Culture finalist

Capital Hoist has been named a finalist at the London Construction Awards 2026, following a record year for entries and an exceptionally strong field of organisations from across the built environment.

We have been shortlisted in the Excellence in Social Value: People & Culture category. The recognition reflects the commitment of our team and the partnerships through which we help people gain experience, confidence and meaningful opportunities in construction.

Recognition for people and culture

For Capital Hoist, social value is practical. It is created by welcoming people into a real working environment, looking beyond barriers and giving individuals the support and responsibility they need to demonstrate what they can do.

Our recent work with local employment and support organisations has included:

  • Supported internships and workplace placements
  • Work experience, structured trials and genuine employment opportunities
  • Mock interviews, mentoring and employability support
  • Reasonable workplace adjustments that help people succeed

References from Bromley Works and Shaw Trust describe Capital Hoist as a dependable, welcoming employer partner with a consistent willingness to help young people and others facing barriers to employment.

The awards recognise the projects, people and organisations shaping the UK built environment. The 2026 finalists were selected by an independent judging panel, with Capital Hoist shortlisted alongside Harmless, KerboCharge, MCS and Redring in the People & Culture category.

The winners will be announced on Wednesday 25 November 2026 at the Platinum Suite, ExCeL London, during a ceremony hosted by comedian Maisie Adam.

We are proud to see the work of our team and partners recognised at this level. Thank you to everyone at Capital Hoist, Bromley Works, Shaw Trust and the wider organisations and individuals who continue to help create routes into work and development.
